Sharper Impressions Painting Makes Local News for Environmental Efforts
Local Meteorologist acknowledged the positive impact Sharper Impressions Painting is having on the local bee population. He spoke with Sharper Founder, Geoff Sharp about the company’s effort to help encourage others to do their best to be environmentally friendly and try to stabilize the local eco-system.
A team of employees installed and painted bee boxes at the Sharper Impressions Painting home office a year ago. Simple bee boxes costing a few hundred dollars attract bees, enabling the critical work of pollinating seeds. The Sharper Impressions Painting team has been embracing the challenge of increasing the local bee population. The first hive of the year is thriving and the buzzing bees have already gone through several pounds of sugar water.
Non-Profit Group Involvement
Below, please enjoy a video that has Sharper Impressions Painting explaining their involvement with the non-profit group PAWS, an animal welfare group that helps save local dogs from euthanasia. We store and provide dog food for the local foster dogs.
The staff at Sharper Impressions Painting has also helped with the fostering of these animals. Both personally and community wide, they have found homes for more than 25 dogs.
Paint The Brain 2010 - New Orleans
This February, the Sharper Impressions Painting team will gather in the great city of New Orleans for our annual meeting, affectionately known as "Paint-the-Brain."
We're all very excited to spend almost a full week there, enjoying the sites, music and great food. We've also made it a priority to show our concern for the city's rebuilding efforts by taking a tour of the devastated areas. And, thanks to our strong connections with area paint suppliers, we're able to make a substantial donation of Sharper time, money and Paint to support the Rebuilding Effort.
If there's one thing the Sharper Impressions Painting team knows about, it's the value of a home - a safe home that you can share with your family and be proud of. We hope our donation will help some families continue to heal as they rebuild their homes and their lives.

Sharper Impressions Painting - The Big Give
Christmas 2009 It meant a little more to us than ever before. We found out about a wonderful family in our area who were faced with some very tough times. Christmas would not be full of joy for them. Both parents had lost their jobs. In spite of their troubles, they remained thankful for each other and their heath. They put on as happy a face as they could.
We decided we could make it better Everyone at Sharper Impressions Painting-from support staff to District Managers, even some of our awesome suppliers-pitched into donate enough money to buy gifts for this family of five.
The saying goes: ‘Tis better to give than to receive. How true! Our dear friends sent us a heartfelt thank-you video. It brought us all to tears. Mostly because, we are the ones who feel thankful... for the opportunity to know the true meaning of Christmas.

The organization Pound Hounds saves dogs from euthanasia at the local pounds. They place these forsaken dogs into loving homes to be retrained and brought back to safe family environments… and of course, loving human interaction! So if you love dogs like the folks at Sharper Impressions Painting, you would find it extremely rewarding to support this wonderful cause.
Doing their part to help, Sharper Impressions stores this non-profit groups dog food in their warehouse. Volunteers from Pound Hounds may come at any time of any day to get bulk food for the pound hound pooches!
Sharper Impressions Painting also fosters some of these dogs at their office and homes. “We have personally fostered and found homes for over 23 dogs in the last few years”, says founder Geoff Sharp. “There is nothing better to us than helping a dog that nobody wanted, was possibly mistreated and was going to be euthanized a the pound, find a happy new home.”
Sponsorship and manpower for the annual charity “Dog Wash”. As a team, we washed over 60 dogs at the last event and all of the proceeds went to Pound Hounds.

As a company that cares about FINDING A CURE!, we have had employees such as Mallory from our front office staff, and employee wives participate and earn money for the Race for the Cure.
